Our Wedding

Pat and Ky met on a Tuesday night in February after matching on Hinge. Ky had just survived a particularly challenging day at work (one that involved a student throwing a trash can at her leg), when Pat suggested they meet for drinks at a wine bar near his apartment. As it turned out, the wine bar was only a few blocks from Ky's apartment too, which felt especially convenient given the day she’d had.When the date finally arrived, Pat says it was love at first sight. In his words, Ky was “a nice, normal, cool person, and not a catfish” (he’s quite the romantic). About halfway through the evening, one of Ky’s contact lenses decided to fall out of her eye, and Pat’s calm reaction was the first green flag she noticed.Over drinks, they talked about work, annoying podcast voices (special shoutout to Michael Barbaro), and the social pressure to order wine at a wine bar when neither of them particularly wanted wine. At the end of the night, Pat gave Ky his number. Shortly after saying goodbye, Ky texted him to let him know she had accidentally gotten into someone else’s Uber.That was the moment Pat knew the date had gone well.

It's a convenient airport with flights from many major U.S. cities and is the easiest option for getting to the wedding festivities.
